Hulislaum American Miniature Horses is located at an historic farm built in 1920 just outside of the tiny village of Hulsel.
This country village is known from as early as the year 710, when 'Hulislaum' as it was called at the time, was officially given to Willibrordus, the abbot of the Benedictine monastery of Echternach in Luxemburg. Hulislaum literally means "Forests of Holly", an apt name for this green rural village situated in the "Brabantse Kempen" among large meadows and crop fields, fields of heather, beautiful lakes and forests. Hulsel is located in the province of Noord-Brabant in the Netherlands, about 20km south of the city of Tilburg, about 30km west of the city of Eindhoven, and about 70km north-east of the city of Antwerp.
